Curt Austin established Austin Image in 1997 in Loveland, Ohio near Cincinnati as a part-time business in photography and the internet. Nancy joined the business in 2000 to provide wedding photos from a different perspective. Curt made it a full-time business pursuit in 2001, focussing on photography.
They moved back to the Adirondacks in 2005, to Nancy's home town of Chester where they built their dream studio on 60 acres of land between Loon Lake and Stewart Mountain. They moved into a new house behind the studio in 2006.
They quickly established themselves as leading photographers in the area, particularly for weddings held in Lake George. They have been recommended by some of the finest and most popular venues, such as the Hiland, Erlowest, Echo Lake Lodge, Sagamore, Georgian and the Copperfield Inn.
They became thoroughly involved in their small-town community, serving on the boards for the Chester Llibrary, the Friends of the Chester Library, the North Warren Chamber of Commerce, the Warren County Safe and Quality Bicycling Organization, and the Upper Hudson Rail Trail. Curt and Nancy both play in the Lake George Concert Band, and Curt is president. Curt is also Principal Horn for the Lake George Chamber Orchestra, a position he attained by virtue of being the only horn.
Curt enjoys exercising both sides of his brain; he used a recent long, cold winter to learn iOS and develop two apps for the iPhone.
Curt and Nancy like cats and dogs, but dogs are a lot of trouble so they have only cats.
