Kelly and Terry were married last Friday in Glens Falls and had their reception at the Georgian Resort in Lake George. They'll be viewing their photos in our studio tonight- why wait? We hope they'll bring the "girls" - a shelty and a burmese mountain dog that we photographed as a surprise gift for Terry.
Here's a new concept for providing your images - iProofing. 1000 wedding photos in your pocket!
We've been looking for an alternative to paper proofs for years - a stack of 1000 or more prints is a bit unwieldly. We think the latest version of Apple's "Video" iPod will be very popular, so we now include a CD with files optimized for your iPod or other photo viewing device.
We will still provide proofs on CD, and nearly all our clients receive the original camera files as well, allowing them to print whatever they choose themselves.
The Town of Chester Library is exhibiting over 135 of our favorite photos from now through June 6th. And there will be a reception on Friday, June 2 from 4:30 to 6:00. Call the Library for their hours (494 5364). You can preview the entire exhibit here. The panel shown below shows the results of our "creativity stretching" exercises:
The Hall of Springs in Saratoga is a beautiful venue, and a perfect example of where extra lighting is required - we always bring remote, radio-controlled strobes. Not only do they prevent black backgrounds, but they allow more pleasing, directional light. They also allow "long" shots - true candids taken at a distance.
Wedding Photography: Emotions, Events and People
Our photography is an artistic expression, capturing emotions, events and people. From hugs and handshakes to smiles and even tears, we photograph your day from the beginning preparations, to the moment you become husband and wife, to your first dance.
And the details! We photograph those things that make your day unique, including flowers, crinoline and garlands. A grandmother straightening the ring bearer's tie, a flowergirl dropping petals as she walks down the aisle and a private moment between the groom and his father — these are all special to us. And we capture them all for you to enjoy later and for years to come.
This special moment between Erin and her father was one of the favorite photos of their wedding. Moments like this can only be captured when you have a two-photographer team, allowing one to concentrate on photojournalistic expression and the other on more classic artistry.
This wedding and our photography was featured in Insight Magazine, This photo and others are being used by the Vermont Wedding Association in their publications.
This photograph of Barbara descending the stairs at The Inn at Erlowest on Lake George shows how we are always looking for artistic opportunities:
Working with natural light at the Lake George Sacred Heart Church, we captured Jacklyn's elegance in the moments leading up to the ceremony.
From Megan's mother:: "Megan couldn't keep the album draft a secret any longer. It's absolutely wonderfully marvelous! I can't think of enough of the most perfect adjectives. You both are amazing!"
Photos like the one below make wonderful background spreads for our art albums. Not only does this photo show the architecture of a church, but it portrays the feeling of the entire wedding ceremony.
Our new studio in Chestertown features a comfortable client viewing room with a 60-inch display. Two of our weddng Art Albums are in the foreground.
We do all forms of photography! Not just weddings. Family reunions, children, high school seniors, portraits, corporate events and commercial. We have a growing collection of Adirondack nature photographs, too.
Speaking of seniors: "Thank you so much! Katie's pictures are fabulous!" - Katie's mother.
This moment between Priscilla and her flower girl was captured at this outdoor wedding, as they both took a moment to enjoy the flowers:
Erin and Kurt recently wrote to us about their album: "We wanted to say thanks for all of your help - it will be a great way to remember the day. The photographs were great, and so was the layout. It was everything that we had hoped it would be."
With a scenic Adirondack vista in the background, this outdoor wedding brought together the all of the best elements of our photography -- spontaneity, naturalness and beauty:
